So... Baltimore being the odd city that it is, one has to walk less than a mile to encounter significant greenery. So, I discovered a pretty neat tree-lined path that doesn't actually seem to go anywhere. The only way to access it is to climb down a hill. It runs parallel to Keswick Avenue. I'm not sure why this path is here, but it is rather pretty :)
Here you can walk miles without spotting any significant foliage. We have some brush though, does brush count?
ReplyDeletePhos: I think scrub and cacti count as foliage since they are green. :)
ReplyDeleteI love a wooden path; they are inviting, intriguing and a bit scary.
ReplyDeleteUr-Spo: There are several places on the NCR trail where the foliage is so dense that the path appears dark even in broad daylight. Very exciting!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful mystic path in the forest

;-)
Anna: Agreed. What I find very positive is that the younger generation of parents (people in their mid-20s and early 30s) seem to make it a point to being their kids out to see nature. When I'm on the NCR trail, I see a LOT of parents with small children. It's good for the kiddies to get exercise too. :)
